We are very excited to announce that Min Sae Chae has been appointed as Head Coach for Western Suburbs RFC, joined by Andrew Leonard as Assistant Coach. Min comes to Western Suburbs with over 14 years of coaching experience from high school club rugby, to NOVA, and the University of Mary Washington where in 2018 he led the team to a national championship. His West End team also won a Tier II national high school championship in 2016. Most recently, Min was the Director of Rugby at the St. James where he created programming for all age groups and levels of experience.
“Wherever he has gone he has gotten results and we’re excited to have Min on board. He is big on planning, clear communication and collaborating with his coaching unit and senior players,” said Patrick Robinson, President of WSRFC.
Andrew Leonard returns to Western Suburbs where he starred as 8-man for several years before injuries shortened his playing career. For the past 3 years, Andrew has been coaching the men's rugby team at his Alma Mater, George Mason University.
