Last year, Suburbs kicked off our season with a scrimmage. Come on out to see what we have planned for this year. Practice starts on February 28 10 AM at Poplar Tree Park, Field 2. Come get a run in!
Our Practice Schedule As ruggers are always thirsty and hungry, I thought I should share. Sunday, March 1, 2015 there is a Winter Wine & Mead Tasting at John Strongbow's Tavern.
John Strongbow's is offering 10 or more wines to taste for 20 dollars. There will be three classic white wines, one mead, one rose wine, and five luscious red wines. After the classic tasting, they will have "extra" tastings of special mead samples. Each of the wines at the tasting are: of legitimate, documented medieval heritage considered amongst the finest wines in the world! They are also doing a Wine Tasting Buffet for $22 featuring: Roast Beef, Sausage, Roasted Carrots, Mashed Potatoes, Chicken Schnitzel, Salad, Fresh Baked Rolls, Fruit, Cheese (various) & Crackers, and a special dessert.. Call them to make your reservation at 703-329-3075. Posted some amazing content about John "Iceman" Cooper helping out in the aftermath if 9/11 in Gallery> 2001 so you should be sure to check that out. Also added some pics from 2006.
Updated the practice schedule so you will know where to be on what practice days in About> Our Practices The Savannah House has filled up. There are still spots remaining in the RV. The cost for the RV is $200 and your share of any leftover monies will be returned to you. Contact Turtle at [email protected] to book your bunk.
The RV has Simon, Blair, Peyton, Tickles and Turtle in it. Found some of the pics from the Eastern Rugby Union D2 Championship that our club won in 1986. Head over to the Gallery page to check them out.
Also spent some updating the Gallery and talking to our Weebly and Network Solutions to find and resolve the issue of the site going to an Under Construction page or our page. Apparently, Network Solutions had it pointing to two different places. So we had an Executive Officer meeting on Wednesday and we agreed to move the site from Yahoo's web hosting to Weebly. Weebly offers us a simple interface for web design so you'll see fresher content on a regular basis. Around mid-day yesterday, Network Solutions, our domain registrar, helped us change our internet address information so if someone went to rugbyfootall.com, then the should show up at our page hosted by Weebly. It does take a 24-48 hours for the world's server to get the change of address info so we'll have likely have some missed connections until then.
Your feedback on the site would be appreciated, you can send it here. |
