Fairfax County Park Authority has closed all grass fields. As a result, we will not be having practice tonight.

How exciting  is this? All the current players and alumni in one place, there is no telling the shenanigans  we could get up to.

Western Suburbs traveled up to Harrisburg, PA yesterday for a friendly. It was a long hike compared to our normal away games and we brought 17 players total. It was physical match and at the half, Western Suburbs was up 19-14 at half. Harrisburg rallied, ran hard, and Suburbs had trouble bringing their runners to ground resulting in off loads and tries. The final was in Harrisburg's favor, 46-31.

Man of the Match honors went to Matt "Lobo" Parr who scored multiple times (it's where he is headed in the pic above). Lobo fought for a win through the entire game and encouraged his teammates to do the same. Mark Bevilacqua played scrumhalf for us on Saturday and put the work in throughout the game. One moment of note from his game play was him squaring up and taking down Harrisburg's large Nigerian back who had caused trouble for our defense all day.
