Archie meets the Stars!

Kevin “Archie” McCall, a former player and treasurer of ours,
is now Down Under. What follows are some photos and an explanation of same.
The Western Suburbs jersey continues to be seen worldwide!

“I just thought I would send along a couple of photos.  The first one is Wallabies Owen Finegan, George Smith, and I.  The second is of Wallaby legend David Campese and I.  These two shots were taken a few days before the 2002 international test with France in Sydney.  The third is a shot of the club that I am currently playing with, Forest Rugby Club.  It was taken after a match with the Eastern Japanese Representative side, which were on tour.  I'm in the back and looking a little ragged, as this was the first game that I had played in over a year, and they killed us.

Cheers,

Archie”

I just wanted to pass along some photos of the Wallabies and the Bledisloe Cup, that I took last month (July 2002).

The first photo is of Bill Young (prop), Ben Tune (winger), myself, and George Smith (flanker).
The second photo is of Nathan Sharpe (lock), myself, Justin Harrison (lock), and Patricio Noriega (prop).
The third photo is of me at the Bledisloe Cup match.
The fourth is a photo a mate of mine took of George Gregan, being presented the Bledisloe Cup.
The fifth photo is of one of the two streakers that invaded the pitch.
The sixth photo is the final penalty kick that Matt Burke hit to win the match at the end of time.
And the last two are of the Wallabies and their victory lap around Telstra Stadium. (Lap one, Lap two.)

As far as the match goes, it was fantastic. The stadium was packed to capacity with both Wallaby and All Black supporters. It was pretty cool to see the Haka performed live as well. Hope things are going well with Suburbs and tell everybody good luck with the fall season.

Cheers,

Archie
