Let me state at the beginning that I have enormous respect for prop forwards. It's rough on the business end of a scrum! What's more, you can't have a scrum without props, and you can't have rugby without the scrum. And who would want life without rugby? Props are therefore invaluable.
Ian "Didds" Diddams of Devizes RFC has stated that "Props are born, not made," and I think the fellow is correct. There is something about a prop that sets him apart from the rest of the human race, and this difference, while not always easily explained, is fairly easily identified by sight. So let's play a little game, shall we?
What follows are a series of images. Your challenge is to identify the prop in the images. Since Internet links are often slow and clunky, I'll simply include the correct answers at the bottom of the page - all you have to do is cover the text with your hand until you've made your choice. Then remove your hand and check to see if you're right. You can either use the "back" command in your browser to return to this page to select the next image, or click on "next."
But be warned - there are trick questions.
So here are the images. Since we're talking about rugby, we'll do an a-side and a b-side of fifteen, with some other sides thrown in for good measure. Remember, no wagering! You may begin.
